Bring on your eagle eyes, and boost your observations skills in this
classical rebus style word game for iPhone,
that promises to challenge your witty side with hours of entertainment. Inspired by the popular tv show, concentration, stitch'em words is an extravaganza for those looking for something beyond anagram and scrabble. the object of the game is to make words using letters and pictures. in each level players are given a set of letters and picto-hints. Each picto-hint stands for a word, for e.g.    players then try to make words by "stitching" letters and pictures together for e.g.     bonus points are scored for solving hidden words, finding long words, and quickly making words. screen shots :  
 
 
Developer's Background: Syed Jafri is a resident of Toronto, Canada and is a recent Computer Engineering graduate from McMaster University in Hamilton, ON - Canada. He works full-time as a Satellite and Television Broadcast Design Engineer and takes up programming in his free time. Stitch'em Word is his very first attempt at iPhone programming. Motivation: "I built Stitch'em Words after coming across a popular TV Show, Concentration, and was hooked onto the completely new spin that it put on Word games", Syed says. "From that point on, it was basically a matter of getting other friends to take a look at it, before they too would get hooked on to it. We even started communicating in Rebus style - in which we would draw a picture and letters to complete a word. It was too much fun to just keep it to ourselves, and that's why we now have Stitch'em Words." Future Plans: "We continuously listen to User Feedbacks. In fact, most of the features released in the Ultimate Edition were a result of direct players feedback," says the 26 years old Toronto Engineer. "A LITE version was released recently for all those still on edge on getting another Word game. We are planning on hosting an International Stitch'em Championship as we have had great success with our Leader's Board and want to take it to the next level. Currently we have more than 5600+ unique players registered on our Leader's Board from all over the world (April 2009), which keeps the competition very exciting to take a part in. There's a great sense of achievement when you see your name up on that board knowing that you beat so many others internationally. Apart from Stitch'em Words, we are also working on new game in a different genre. Keep your eyes out for more entertaining releases from us." |
